Eagle's Candle Holder
« on: April 08, 2011, 09:26:05 pm »
This patterns was designed by Ted Duquette at Scroller T Bear. I found other idea from other framed candle holder. The scroll was made out of 1/2 inch AC plywood, the frame was just some sort of hardwood I found in my scrap pile. This is the first of many projects I intend to make.

Very interesting idea for scroll work display and a beautiful job of cutting!

I think I will work on an adaptation...put a piece of plexi or acrylic behind the cutting with a light behind it to make a glowing lamp of sorts...
Been playing with this idea in my head for a while and now am inspired to try it!

Thank You everyone, I thought the idea of a candle holder in a frame, around any desirable scroll would be great. This one I put a mirror behind it, but any backing would be great. I am making a few more of these frames, along with different scrolls, and backings. Then at swap meet the customer can choose, frames, scrolls, and backing.
I wish I new my wood better, this Framing carpenter only know pine and cedar, lol. Although I am determined to get to know everything I can, I am really enjoying finish work, I love to accent woodgrain.
Still a noobie, but thanks to all of you, I can learn and keep inspired in the art of woodworking.
