Cup of Coffee

I made this Trinket box from Cherry, Walnut and Poplar.  I'm off to have a cup of coffee now!

Cool idea Tommy! You just opened the door to unlimited possibilities. Instead of steam it could be a spoon. Instead of coffee, it could be a mug of soup with A, B, C floating on top. And why not a goldfish or dolphin poking it's head out of the soup. ;D Keep the ideas flowing.

WOW that is great. Nothing like a hot cup of joe. I would need that to wash down that cup cake ;D

Great Idea Tommy, a friend of mine makes and sells "full coffee sets" but he does it on the lathe and carving as well. Picture attatched if you want to give it a try...  (biscuits and sugar are wood too)

This is beautiful work, as are the cupcakes. I've been watching some of Carole's videos...I think I have to have this book.

It seems there may be a bit of sanding involved, is there a spinde sander involved?

Thanks, it was fun to make but challenging.  I've only been scrolling for about 3 months so anything is a challenge to me!

Yes, I used the Home Depot Occilating sander on this (and other projects).  It really helps when you are sanding the inside of rings.  I also used a barrel sander on my drill press.  I really need to get one of those inflatable Drum sanders attached to the drill press.  That would work even better.

The home Depot drum sander is really well done and a great buy!  I'm glad I bought one last month.
