Title: Impala Intarsia Pattern
Post by: wdmstr100 on December 10, 2017, 04:47:19 pm
Well Thanks to Claymore (Brian) making me the Impala Pattern, my grandson is getting the Impala he asked me to make. I think it turned out pretty good if I say so myself. I used Spanish Cedar for the body, American Walnut for the antlers, Persian Walnut for the dark area on the body, Soft Maple for the white, Red Oak for back board and Padauk for the frame. Lots of little piece for example there are 24 piece just in the antlers. Total of 76 pieces. Thanks and hope you enjoy pictures? Doug

Beautiful work Douglas and you have got the colours spot on, sorry about all the tiny pieces but I personally like lots of small detail sorry i don't number them like the Kathy Wise and JGR patterns 8-(.
It was a pleasure doing the pattern and a topic i would never thought about so very interesting project.
Cheers
Brian
