Al - I like the settlers approach in barn building - use a square peg in a round hole  ;)

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: Remembering what blade is mounted

I store my blades in tubes with removable lids. Whatever blade I'm using doesn't get its lid put back on. It helps me most when I come back a day or two later.

He was miss named - should have been "Standing Bull" - for his leadership.   Today we have to many Sitting Bulls.

I can see why you like the new font. It gives the project that extra edge. Nice cutting.

Took some liberties with Steve's Pattern. Gave the witch a Harvest Moon background and changed the copy style. My "a" insides kept falling out - oh well :P & my water color black was blotchy - should have sprayed the b/b black. But it was a fun quick project and I doubt if the kids will even notice - come Halloween.

Frank - I'm a dummy - explain how it works please - why is the inner wall adjustable - if I wasn't already "salt and pepper" you could call me blond.  :)

Bob - If you hadn't brought up your"Boo Boo" or the designers intent, I would have said [and still will] you have a very good looking project.  Sometimes those mistakes make us turn on the creative juices and we're rewarded with a handsome result.  Congrats

The Coffee Shop / Drill Press Teck needed
« on: August 02, 2012, 11:33:50 pm »
Got a pretty nice floor standing Delta drill press I use for my entry holes.  But 98% of the time when I turn it on - the motor growns but the spindle doesn't turn.  I turn the motor off & manually turn the spindle & try to restart with some success.  But often not until I make 3-4 tries. I'd like to fix it, but I don't know how to evaluate whether it's a bent spindle shaft or a bad spot on the motor windings. Sincerely, frustrated & open to suggestions.

This was one of those small quick compound projects I just had to do for the fun of it.  I was asked by a fellow scroller what the small flecks are in my pine tooth.  I told him I don't floss. :]

Came up with this "design" after a souvenir metal I where. There are 4 layers. It is all bass wood except the "Crown of Thorns" which is cheery.  The Crown was scroll sawed, filed, filed, sanded & sanded more. [I never thought I'd finish]
So here it is - I bare my "Heart" before you :]
