looking good so far, just waiting for the finish to dry and I'll post pic of the repair.

It's fixed, still needs a sanding and a finish around the edge. I perfered it without the backer board, but at least it's not wasted now.

Still looks great Keefie!  I sympathize.  I have a knee like that from when a car hit me when I was riding my motorcycle.  Just kinda folds up on me unexpectedly.  Glad you didn't get too beat up!
