Its all part of the fun I miter cut the top of one of my fingers about 20 yrs back, only  cut about about 1/4" off the side. Have had various injuries since then. Started some whittling a few months back, sharp knifes makes for blood when you slip I did start using a carving glove.  I have even cut myself on a scroll saw  :o

Used tools are like used cars if you can  repair them when something breaks they are a good deal if not save you money and buy new.
Since you are in the business of selling your items you defiantly need a reliable saw.

I like to work standing, height would vary with the users I'm 5'10" and the dewalt 788 on its stand with wheels that i added is good for me. Do not like foot pedals

Just about everything is made over seas these days so not much choice in that area. I have the 788, have had it about a year no complaints it works well.
