Looking at the Guardian angel pattern in the catalog.
The lines between the angels wings would they just be straight cuts with a thin blade ?

Display looks good. It would be a interesting project to enlarge the coffin and bone man to life size.
That should get some attention from the neighbors  ;D

Not machine specific but unless you know how to make repairs buying a used tool is always a gamble. Like buying a used car in that  there usually is some reason it is being sold and there is no odometer on a saw so no way to know what mileage it has on it

Not sure what make yours is but here is a manual for a Grizzley 1x42 (I have this model) and while different from yours it does have a adjustment for the belt take up, yours may be missing a few parts

Talk of toy brings back a pleasant memory when my son was young his grandfather was paneling his rooms (it was the early 80's) any how he made a toy box out of the same panel he used for the room. Not only did it look good but blended perfectly with the room.  :)

No one was suggesting you replace the saw but the blade should not drop. Maybe  a simple adjustment. If its a 20 year old griz then I guess its a contractor style saw so unplug the saw and get under it see what needs to be adjusted. Or see if you can get a manual the saw, most likely will need a tuneup after 20 years. I would 1st contact Grizzly's customer service and see if they can send you a manual. IIf not look for a similar saw on their site these saws have not changed that much in 20 years and download a copy of a manual for a similar saw.

Here is a link to a basic tuneup might not solve your problem but this is worth a read for most table saw owners

Not sure what table saw you have but there is usually a crank handle to adjust the blade height. It should not change on its own. If it is loose  you need to adjust or repair the saw.

I looked at the manual it has some interesting features but seeing a price online of almost $1000.00 and as I only cut for fun, no selling I think I would stick with my dewalt
Link to manual if anyone needs to see it

I also started with a ryobi its about 20 yrs old and in the basement on a shelf with other tools that have been upgraded. I now use a delwalt and as you have found out a better saw is more fun to work with and fun is what it is about.
