There could be a problem.  I know that college logos are registered trademarks of the school.  As such you have to get permission, buy the rights, to use the logos.  I would check with a few schools to see what they have to say about their mascots.  Let us know what you find out, please.

90% of what I do is red oak.  I stain it in a bath of MinWax Golden Oak.  it is then sprayed with poly (not from a rattle can).  For woods like walnut, maple, pecan, etc I may use MinWax Natural or Danish Oil.  If I use Natural I will spray it with poly.  If I use Danish Oil that is all I do.  Like several people have stated, it all depends upon what I am doing.

Hi Folks and greetings from southeast Tx, aka Houston.  I have been scrolling for seven years now and just love it to the point that my wife says if it doesn't involve my woodworking, I don't pay any attention to it.  To a point she is correct, but I have to build up my inventory for my fall craft shows.  Anyway, I'm glad to be here and look forword to see folks from around the world are doing.

You can see some of my work at my website:  www.normsscrollsawart.com

Hi Chris,

I just joined this forum and saw your message.  i just started a scroll saw club in Houston.  We have a meeting this Sat and would love to see you there.  We will be at Woodcraft, Beltway 8, 9:30 AM.  Subject for this month's meeting is presentation/mounting and cutting tips and tricks.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

This invite goes for anyone else in the Houston as well.
