Well , my wife and I finally retired. :) :) We have over 50 years service with the State of Texas, I have 30 + and my wife has 20 + years. Now it's time to spend more time in the shop. Start catching those catfish, spend time with the granddaughter, do a little travel here in the USA. Now the 2nd half of our life starts.

I'll have a drink to that "Here's to a long and happy retirement" Cheers.

I retired in 2010. Now I am waiting for the spouse to retire this year. Then we will start having fun traveling and working in the work shop.
-
Don said it truly..."Have Fun!"
And I agree that it a good thing to be retired because I sure as hell wouldn't be able to fit a job in my life now!

Let me echo what GB said, but you WILL find out you run out of time when you are reitred - I am more busy now than when I was working. But enjoying it a heckuva lot more as well.

Congrats to you both! I found this quote awhile ago and I liked it so much it's stuck in my mind now and I'd like to share it with you.
"Old age is an excellent time for outrage. My goal is to say or do at least one outrageous thing every week."
