Welcome John, like you I have retired my Ryobi too a Dee Walt 788.  Now the Ryobi does the sanding for me and I do all the cutting with the 788.  I have added two clamp work lights above each side of the table with day light bulbs, along with a 2x magnifier, to help me.  You enjoy scrolling and all the different things a can make.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Blade feeding

Even though I have been a puzzle maker, some do require a hole for the eyes. I have found bottom feeding is easier.  I just start with doing other projects that require lots of interior cuts, so I'm finding that bottom feeding is easier for me.  Must be old habits die hard.

Ask Steve a question. / Scroll saw Blades

I have been using Olson blades and for some reason the get dull faster then the Pegus blades I have been trying.  Is there any other blades out there that I can replace the Olson blades with besides Pegus? The reason I'm asking is Pengu blades don't come in a wide range.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes.  I'm a disable Vet., and due to the physical problems scroll sawing is for me.  I have been doing mostly puzzles with the saw.  I due turn pens and small items on the lathe.  I'm starting to move up to other projects on the saw.  Once I get some new things cut I will post some pictures for everyone can tell what they think.   :)

The screen name comes from my 17 teen year old daughter.  That is what she calls the saw dust I make while scroll sawing or craving. So it stuck with me.  :)
