Pens
« on: May 26, 2011, 05:04:56 pm »
I took a break from scrolling and tried pen turning. The wood ones are Koa,Maple,Laminated and Honduras Rosewood. The others are Acrylic and Resin. What do you think?

Hey Towdude, nice pens! now don't go and abandon us to turning! Just kidding! I have done hundreds of pens and bottle stoppers, and it is tons of fun!
Again, Nice pen!

Thanks for the comments. I broke the first (4) i tried then I went to youtube and watched videos for about 2 hours and haven't broken one since. Once you find out which tools and the correct speed it is fairly easy.  Mike

Nice work Mike. I've always wanted to try that. But then i dont ever find enough time to do all the scrolling i want to do so why bother investing more $$ at the time. Anyways, awesome job.

Nice pens Towdude3. I actually have a few pens similar to yours made by a friend of mine. I do cherish them and receive a lot of comments.
