Title: Adding Fonts to Inkscape
Post by: fatboyaus on June 10, 2019, 07:48:27 am
I have downloaded some Fonts to use in Inkscape but when I install them they don't appear. They appear in Corel & Word and not Inkscape

any suggestions?

What version of Inkscape are you using.

I have not have that problem and I use 92.3.

I double click on the ttf and then say install.

You have to close and reopen Inkscape.

I found if you installed as Administrator then they would appear.

Even though you may be setup as the Administrator you need to open the file folder as Administrator

This has been talked about extensively on Scroll Saw Village.

Being an Administrator solves the problem but I found that you have to save the ttf to a file and then right click and install to all users.

Some fonts come in a Zip and when you say extract the ttf is there but when you click it does not give the all users.

If you save to a folder (or desk top) and then click on that file the install to all users comes up.

I have a couple of laptops and this works on both regardless is I am the administrator of not.
