Title: This weekend
Post by: dgman on May 30, 2010, 01:43:44 pm
So what are you all doing this weekend? Today I will be watching auto racing all day.
The Indy 500 is on now, and later is NASCAR at Charlotte. Tomorrow I will be scrolling all day, then will be grilling a tri tip for dinner.

Unfortunately I am working this weekend. One of the drawbacks to working in a casino.

Driving to LA and back tonight to pick up my youngest step son from the airport.  Tomorrow I think I will slow smoke a brisket Texas style.  YUM YUM.
Right now I am doing yard work and cleaning my lawn mower, it sucks.

Hi There,

Yesterday I went to my father?s birthday party. He became 77.
We did some shopping for a new 7.5 ft wall-closet (5 mirror's) for my daughter.
This morning I went to church and the rest of the afternoon I did some computing.
The clock is set to 5:30AM now, so it?s time to go to sleep soon.

Everyone: have a nice week!

darn. weekend is almost 2/3 gone. But, yesterday I did my chores, yardwork, cleaned the hottub, washed Smooches car and then went to dinner with friends.
Sunday, I made sawdust in the morning and spent the afternoon with Smooches. Going to try to make Steve's broadcast this evening.
Monday is a Ducati day for me. Ride down the coast to Big Sur and have breakfast. Then home and pick up Smooches and take her out to lunch. Going to make some saw dust Monday evening.

This weekend?  Jaun went back out on the road and the kids got muddy.  We were up till almost 3 am making an outside dog pen for the new babies since they are getting around now.  Can't have them making that little puppy mess in the house ya know.

Well since my weekend usually consists of just Sun. I feel spoiled. Went to church this morning, then worked on a few projects around the house, then grilled some steaks, got ribs on the menu tomorrow. Probably spend a little time in shop too.

Well, Friday we got the boat ready and packed up for the lake for Saturday.  Saturday came and we went and spent the day out on the lake.  I almost looked like a lobster when we got home but not as bad as a couple of other people that were with us.  Got home from the lake, showered, and changed clothes to go out and shoot some pool and dance a little.  None of us hadn't danced like that in years,,,we had a blast.  Woke up this morning to go to church and well the muscles in my arm pits and shoulders are rather sore from all the dancing and driving the boat yesterday...So, we went to church, out to lunch, and came home and took about a 4 hour nap and relaxed.  Tomorrow we plan on getting in the shop and doing some cutting.  Tuesday will be back to the grind stone!

I am so happy to hear that you had a productive and relaxing holiday, despite getting cooked.  But that is all part of it.  Hope your feeling better.

Ended our semester on the 15th - I taught a 2-week intensive "interim semester" course.  My "weekend" began last Friday at noon and will last until the 2nd week in August.  Gonna do lots of "turning and cutting".  I have to build up my inventory of pens and clocks for the fall shows.

Ok, I thought we were going to work in the shop today....It turns out now that us and some friends are going to Wooly Hollow State Park for a little while and letting the kids swim and jump off the platform.  Then we are leaving from there and going to one of the friend's house and queing some hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken and letting the kids finish swimming in the pool.  Despite that we are cooked we are gonna get back out into the sun again...Just have to make sure we apply EXTRA sunblock today..LOL...This weekend has been a blast.  If you have facebook you can see the photos from this weekend on my photos page.  Will be taking more today as well....
