Hello from Newfie Land & Alberta
« on: October 30, 2012, 01:22:25 am »
Hi there, I've recently retired and want to try my hand at scroll sawing......a couple of years ago I did some portrait scrolling, but due to a stroke I had to give up for awhile.....starting to feel a bit better now and want to get back into it......One of the side effects of my stroke is my memory, I even forgot how to prepare my wood for sawing i.e. taping, gluing the pattern, what blade to use etc.....

I will probably ask some dumb questions, but please bear with me....

Thanks

Hello and welcome. I can relate to the stroke thing. I had earned my living as an artist doing highly detailed painting.  Scroll sawing saved my sanity.  Well most of it anyway  :D
