My dw788 is about 3 months old  i had to tighten my lamp and realized the bottom bolt is stripped so i tightened the top extra tight an now my head stays up without my piece of wood  i loosened the lamp bolt and it still does it  i have been using the saw but am wondering if there is a problem  when i lft it it locks into place and there is very little resistance to put it back down  right now it works like the delta.

I bought a deadman swtith and used it once. I do all my work standing and it was too uncomfortable.  I can see the advantage if sitting but that is not an option for me due to lmited shop space. A one care garage doesnt cut it. Time for a bigger house

General Scroll Saw Talk / Fret work clean up
« on: May 31, 2018, 09:25:27 pm »
Not sure how many scrollers do this, but i keep a dull 2/0 blade and use it by hand to clean all my fret work fuzzies. I find it faster then using blade sanders and small pieces of sand paper. I also use the end of a 5 blade to clean glue sqeeze out

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Better bulb for dewalt
« on: May 31, 2018, 09:17:28 pm »
I cant find any led bulbs that fit this lamp  i hate the orange glow it gives off. I found a 40 watt, but its way to hot as i am in the habit of moving my light while cutting. Made that mistake once and put the old one back in

I have a dewalt and your saw is my back up I use from 2/0 up to 9 and it works fine I prefer to use it when cutting thicker stock cause it cuts faster then the dewalt.
