Hi Tony,
I alwaay finish sanding BB with 400 grit sand paper before I stain.  When I put the stain on a piece of BB I wipe it down with a lint free cloth and Let it dry.  Than I spray it with Laqure(sp) and let it dry again.  It alway come out the way I wanted it to.  I hope this helps a little.

This is my 3rd table saw over the years, I do know all the precautions to take, but safty comes first on any saw.  I want to know how to take care of the aluminum top of the saw.

Hi All,
I just bought a new table saw, it is a craftman 10 inch.  It has an a Aluminum top.  What do I use on the top to keep it smooth and take away the scratches from the wood.  In other words, how do I maintain the top of the saw.

Hi Jon,
The Delta 40-695 is a very good saw, and the price is really good too.  The Delta is the same as the Dwalt but only the color is not yellow.

What kind of pine cost $28.00 a board foot?  At that price I would use hard wood and it will look better.  When I glue to boards together  I smear glue all over it and then I use clamps all around the board to make sure it is all glued together.  I let it set over night to dry.  But if you are in a hurry, after about three hours you can unclamp it and go to work.

On my 40-690 Delta i turn the set screw a 1/4 of a turn every two weeks and as far as the blades goes, I use 220 sand paper and sand both ends befire inserting the blade.

I use the Green painters tape.  It works just as good as the blue but comes off really easy.  I have let it sit for a couple of days and it still comes off easy.  I don't think it would peal off your paint either.
