Firemen Rescue
« on: June 24, 2013, 02:55:30 pm »
Made from a photo of an ex Fireman that rescued a little boy from a burning house. His daughter has had the picture for years and wanted something more permanent to pass on. His daughter and son-in-law ordered the Intarsia to surprise him on Father?s Day.

I warned them ahead of time I couldn?t carve faces very good, which shows.
Picture is 16? X 20?

Thanks for all the kind comments, but I'm still not happy with the faces!!!!  As a face they're fine, but they don't resemble the ones in the picture.

Dustin and Troy, After I finished the background I used an Air Brush to paint in the flames and smoke to make the Intarsia more realistic.

I heard back that the Fireman was thrilled when he received it.
