I saw a cart just like that when I was in Paris.  As usual a terrific job, well done.

Wonderful!
How do you hang on to the small pieces when sanding. Would think they might fly across the room!

Pat, If you?re referring to the flowers, they are the smallest pieces, I made them, using a few different size dowels.

Step 1:  I used a round steel bit in my Foredom flex shaft tool and put dimples in the ends of the dowels before cutting to size (See first picture)

Step 2:  I then cut them off about 3/32? thick (See Second picture).

Step 3:  After cutting about 30, I placed them on a strip of double sided tape, which was fastened to a piece of scrap material and painted them.   After they were painted they were very easy to handle.

3rd picture shows some flowers I had left over.

I was thinking more of shaping the leaves in the pots, for instance. Clever way to do the flowers. Thank you for sharing. Nice that we do that for each other. We are a community.

wonderful work there Al, but I wouldn't expect to see anything
less. Thanks for sharing, I am inspired to try another intarsia piece. But have to finish a few other projects first. :-[ :-[
