Do you mean no cut lines, refering to black outline containing the light gray space? If so,  page prints out with black outline containing light gray space within the outline when I print both the saved file and the brought up file from his web site page. No difference. Both downloaded (meaning in my hard drive)page shows black outline and web site page also has black outline.  I use AOL

If your marquetry is small you might want to consider a scroll saw made by the German company Proxxon who offer two sizes ? one is a small model-making scroll saw (which I have) and the other is a larger scroll saw. You can price and view them at http://www.minicrafttools.com/saws.html. I have three scroll saws, each of a different size with the Proxxon the smallest. The smallest Proxxon saw is a precision machine that uses tiny jeweler?s saws. It is variable speed with a good range is and relatively quiet and steady. ALL scroll saws need to be bolted down to a somewhat heavy bench to deaden the vibrations of the vertical reciprocal motion. I find my little Proxxon ideal for things like cutting pearl inlay for musical instrument fretboards and precision model building. Its maximum cutting thickness is about 3/4? but its not made for that. For veneer work over 12? x 12? in size I would recommend something larger due to the capacity of the overhead arm.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Posting a photo
« on: January 09, 2014, 04:27:06 pm »
Any suggestions on how to post a photo? The option for attachments under additional options limits an image size to a few kb. and my photo is rejected. I don't think the image I'd like to post is any larger than other images on the forum. The "insert image" icon on the tool bar just inserts "[img]" into the text of my post. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Barry.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: My new "lift" in life
« on: January 09, 2014, 12:49:33 pm »
Just had to mention my Christmas gift of "The Lifter" on my dewalt.  This is better than sex [at my age] or the invention of sliced bread. This brings more enjoyment to those multiple fret cut. PS this is not a paid commercial.  Brian  P.S. Thanks The Melster _ without your direction the Pic won't be possible.  ;)
Glad it worked for ya.... have fun

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Drill Bits
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:36:26 pm »
Not for scrolling:I know you can get large bits with smaller shanks but can you get them the other way round.

I make toy wheels with a circle cutter but at times I only need a 6mm (1/4") dia centre hole for the axle, the circle cutter has a fixed (but removable) 8mm  5/16" drill.

What I'm after is a 6mm (1/4") drill with a 8mm (5/16") shaft.

Any advise please

What in the world are you going to do with 60 tubes?  ??? ::)
I have 12 and doing just fine. I dont even think there are 60 different blades to put in the tubes. Well, maybe there are but, I would be so confused about which blade to use that I would never get anything cut.  ;) :D
It does seem like a good price, but buying things because they are cheap weather you have a use for them or not, seems like a waste of money to me.  :P

Rog

There are 70 different type/sizes of blades on Mikes FD site. I guess I forgot to mention that I needed the tubes. I am not that affluent that I just buy things cause they are reasonable.
