I have a wen 3922 scroll saw I am having some problems with.
The allen screw came out of the cam weight and when I put it back and tightened it up it seems to chatter a lot The hold down clamp is a pain . Any ideas on these
Thanks

Did you put the cam weight back in the original position? Logic says its there as a counterweight and if rotated of its proper position it will make vibrations worse instead of cancelling them.

This is from the WEN manual https://cdn.shopify.com/
Excessive vibration.
1. Machine speed set at a harmonic
frequency of the saw.
1. Adjust speed up or down to see if
issue is resolved.
2. Machine not secured to work surface. 2. Secure machine to work surface.
3. Incorrect blade tension. 3. Adjust blade tension (see p. 13).
4. Hold-down foot not being used. 4. Adjust hold-down foot to slightly
clear workpiece surface when cutting.
5. Loose fastener. 5. Check machine for loose fasteners.
6. Defective bearing. 6. Contact customer service at 1-800-232-1195
Hope this helps

Oh dear. I just ordered one yesterday.
There does seem to be a shortage of midrange saws in the UK. I hope the Wen is OK, I am really looking forward to using it. Trouble is, there is a three week wait for them. Ah well, I shall just have to look happy and wait. Wish me luck!
