Grandma's Guardian Angel
« on: June 03, 2014, 03:40:04 pm »
Shortly before Christmas 2013 my Mom was diagnosed with Cancer. This is what I created for her to keep with her while she was in the hospital and nursing home. It was hard to find a simple angel pattern online (I'm still a rookie with the saw), so this is what I came up with. My mom loved it! I call it Grandma's Guardian Angel in honor of the outstanding Grandma she has been to my son, and his 3 cousins. Since the time of her diagnoses my wife and I, and one of my sisters have found out that she will be a Grandma two more times before the end of the year! Thankfully my Mom has been home for a few months now and her Guardian Angel hangs on the wall above her.

You might call yourself a rookie, but that is one fine looking guardian angel.

That is some fine work.  You might classify yourself as a rookie but you are doing just fine.  I am sure that she loves this angel.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Excellent work. I think you can now classify yourself as being past the rookie stage.  I can understand why you Mum loves her guardian angel, number 1 you made it, number 2 you made it with love and number 3 you did not want to loose her and number 4 you did a dam fine job.  Well done.

Very nice. I looked at the picture before I read about it, was going to ask where you bought the pattern. You a have a good eye for making patterns and cuttin'.
