Turning your tablesaw into a work table
« on: January 25, 2012, 08:03:15 am »
Here's a little tip for those of us that have working space limits in our workshops.
if you have a tablesaw in your shop, you can turn it into a work table by  taking a piece of 3/4" plywood, and some 1x and make a removable top.

The 1x will be used to frame the sides
figure out where you can add the 1x sides to your saw ( you'll need one on each side of the table top.)

make sure you when you measure for your table top to allow extra for the 1x sides.if your going to make it to fit just the saws top.

I used a decking type screw to attach the sides and counter sunk the head into the table top

This is the locations I placed the sides on my removeable table top, for my particular tablesaw.

Not a bad idea. Mine collects other tools and projects when not in use.
