Sorry to hear that your recovery has a couple of stumbling points along it.  Keeping your recovery in my prayers my friend.

Thanks for all your prayers !

almost passed the 6 months mark now... ::)
yesterday I went back for an other surgery.
Doctor did cut out a loose piece of bone that already did stick out partially.
he did cut out the  1/8" piece of fingernail including wedge of the nail-base to prevent it from growing back.
And finally he did cut of 1/8" of the first digit that had the shape of a sharpened pencil and did made the finger really painful in use or hitting/touching stuff.
so back to square one....
there is a gap/hole now and this has to grow/fill with tissue and doctor says this can take 3 months.
then another 3 months for healing/recovering.

back to prayers, I hardly have any pain, so I'm really grateful for that and so prayers work.
The knowledge that so many pray comforts me, so thanks you all !

Let's hope it is all up hill from now on.  We are here for you. Wish you had access to a better specialist.

Ouch, you have my sympathies, (don't know if that is spelled right but you should know what I mean)

here's a picture of the special foam bandage called polymem
this foam makes it grow better and let the gap fill/grow.
making progress, no real pain, only when I bounce it into things.... ::)

Thank you all for your nice words.
