General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: improvement for any scroll saw
« on: June 05, 2010, 10:10:34 am »
My 788 is solid as can be but I did have SUPERMAN tighten the bolts, and I cut an old carpet that just fits the stand and then on top of that I put a small square of carpet padding under each leg. That way it doesn't move on the carpet and it moves easy.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Spiral Blades - Attn: Charlie D.
« on: June 05, 2010, 10:04:06 am »
I use spiral blades all the time, I started out with them. I tried the flat ones a couple of times but am too lazy to put in the practise I guess. Hey Charlie....is there a finer spiral smaller than .024 that is not brittle?

Cherie... I LOVE my Sand Flee Just finished a bunch of "hair daggers".  It made them smooth as silk.  Cannot imagine sanding those things by hand.

I went ahead and bought the 6 inch double sanding mop.  It is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  It did cost a LOT....$60+ with shipping and all. Never thought about making my own, will surely do my own refill when its time.

Being single and alone, I hug my DeWalt 788 each time I go to the shop.
In fact it is getting jealous because I spend way to much time reading the forum that I could be spending with him  ;)

I have the new coral draw X5 and I use Windows 7.
Things seem a little different than Steve's lessons
I have realized that the brain can absorb only what the butt can endure.

I am putting all of Steve's Lessons on the desktop.
then take them one at a time to try to learn Coral draw.
My brain is FRIED AND FRUSTRATED but found Crown Royal is a nice salve for after trying to stretch this old brain.

I looked through both pages of the free patterns and didn't find the pattern for the blade clamp.  Maybe I missed it both times can someone repost or email it to me please??
