Al How tall is Mr. Fixit?
You mentioned using a real pencil in his hand, and the scale looks so good!

I put his height on the very first picture I posted of the rough pattern. He's 15" tall, I usually make my Intarsias about 22" but I made this one to a scale that would fit the door I planned to mount it on.

I was going to use Canary wood to make the saw from, but after testing a sample it would have been a pretty sick looking "Big Yellow" so I went ahead and used Aspen and painted it. I didn't want to disappoint the DeWalt fans, lol

I was able to put the first couple of coats of spray on late this afternoon and will finish it up in the morning. I'll post a couple of different ways this Intarsia could be displayed.

When I looked at it the first time I was so interested in how you were going to cut it I didn't even notice the hight.

I really like it, "the making of..." a Mr. Fixit.
It's cool to see and i can learn a few things of it.
You can do it more often Al, a making of.

Always good to see a progress of something.

Al, your creations are like a fine bottle of wine they increasingly get better with age. I am always awe struck each time I am able to view you latest art work. You are and continue to be an inspiration for me because as I witness your work I can see what is possible with skill and patience. If I ever reach a point when I am half as talented as you with one of my creations I will open that aged bottle of wine and savor both the taste and the view. I hope that you will continue on my friend and show us that your best work is yet to come for that will be truly amazing.
