Wedding gift
« on: October 22, 2012, 02:12:38 pm »
This is my wedding gift for my cousin who got married last Saturday.
made out BB and Occume plywood.
the base can be removed with two screws so it can be hung at the wall also.

The groom is working as sound and light technician, so I made the trusses with the lights reflecting their names in the middle
The date is of course there wedding date.
she plays guitar so that's her special item.
they had Ps 33 as the verse from the Bible for the sermon.
so I add the the Bible on the left (above the stage)  producing the bible verse.
Ps 33:20 Say's that God is our Shield, and because Christ is our redeemer I add the cross of Christ in the shield.
symbolic:
if they keep Gods word higher then anything else in "the stage" of their life, their marriage will be blessed.

What a unique and appropriate gift for your cousin and his new bride.  They have their priorities straight, as you said, and are off to a good start.  Well done!

First of all, I love it. It is a beautiful piece of art. Second, thanks for all the explanation. I was wondering about some things in it, and you made this come alive with your sharing what each thing symbolized. I am sure they are so happy with this. I know I made a simple plaque (the love honor and cherish one from this site) for my wife's cousin for her wedding. They loved that, so how much more for your cousin and this special gift. Thanks for sharing.
