I haven't, but would sure like to. It is very beautiful and would make a nice shelf in my train room.

Is this the one you are asking about?: http://www.finescrollsaw.com/victorian-locomotive-shelf.htm. It looks ambitious but I know you can do it Malc! I have a very nice H.O. locomotive and tender that I have been looking for a place to display it on, and this looks like what I have been looking for. I might have to order it!

It does look great. A lot of work, but then you also have something to show for it. I too might have to order it.

The plan has arrived!!! Let the cutting begin and there is a whole lot if it, dozens of curly inside cuts.  I think I may be some time!!

I can't wait to see the finished train, it sure is a beautiful piece of work and mind boggling fretwork.I think you should do a work in progress so we can all marvel at the project progression.

I just ordered a copy of the pattern as well as another pattern for the Cremona Wall Clock.  The both look intriguing and challenging.

Not too sure about pictures of the ongoing work as they would show the pattern, and that is copyright. Once the pattern is removed then no problems.

I don't think that is a problem Malc. You just cant post a full size pattern that can be copied.

Good start.
But, I have a question. Why did you start the pattern from the outside instead of the center? I generally will rough cut a pattern to get the size down a little but then start the interior cuts first. I usually go for the smallest areas first and then work up to the larger areas as I  go and leave the outside cuts for the very last. I feel that there is less chance for damage to the pattern while I'm cutting using my system.
Just curious.

On my saw it just seemed easier to reduce the size as much as possible, I still have to pull my tum in a bit on some of the turns and as it is in 6mm ply the outline seems quite strong.
