Open Office Draw

Has anyone used Open Office Draw for making patterns? Open Office is a FREE program and seems to have the same things as Microsoft Office. As many have said "Cheap is Good, Free is Better".

I looked at corel draw and right now it's a little out of my reach ($$$). I don't know if open office draw would do the same.

I've used the Open Office suite of programs for years.

Recently I had a need for a simple drawing program to make a scroll saw pattern.  It worked well and seemed to be fairly easy to use compared to other programs I have tried.

I'm no expert on this but it worked very well for me.
