Brag Forum / 8 Lobe Bowl

Made this bowl from a 3/4 in thick BB Ply sheet. I cut 3/8 in thick x 6 in long strips untill I had enough to make two blanks 6x6 when glued face to face. I then glued the 2nd one on top of the 1st one at 90 degrees. Finished with Wipe on Poly.

The Pattern is adapted from the Holiday Ornaments Toys and Gifts Volume 2. I used 4 1/8 in diameter rare earth magnets.

dgman I did indeed make the frame. The part you see is part of an oak door panel that was glued on top of a sub frame of poplar.

This is the mug pattern by Steve Good - Cut from 3/4 BB Ply. Stained a Golden Maple and then finished with tung oil. I figured that the ply on edge would look good.
