I have been reading past posts but sometimes it's just easier to ask. Do any of you buy wood from Rockler? It looks like a decent selection,
(I can't buy anything but pine around here), but maybe a little pricey. Any better prices around?

I have never purchased wood from Rockler, just tools, etc. I don't know what type of wood you are searching for, but, I have used Ocooch Hardwoods and Sloans Woodshop online and have been satisfied with both vendors. Both have a good variety of hardwoods and plywoods and the shipping is not too expensive.

Like Tony said I have used those suppliers. No I do buy wood from Rockler but I have a store near me as well as Woodcraft so I can be there in 20 minutes look pick and no shipping. Then I have been privileged to be the receiver of my favorite wood FREE quite often.

I have been using kencraftstore.com for thin hard woods and find the quality excellant at a lower price.

I have bought wood from the scrap pile at Rockler. Short chunks, end pieces, damaged items but never anything from the rack. I get some thicker stock from the local big box home improvement stores, and like others, buy thinner stock and baltic birch plywood from http://ocoochhardwoods.com/index.php

I have found some good wood at ebay. Of course buy just a little at first, until you get to know the seller but so far no problem.

Thanks a lot! I found what I need. ;D
