Hello from Bricktown

Hello people,

I posted a topic a few days ago about tuning up my saw in a different part of the forums. One of the fellows there said it would be good idea to introduce myself here. So here I am!

I have been a carpenter and cabinetmaker for about 8-10 years. Started out doing construction and labor and it just progressed from there. I have a small workshop that I am starting to do some scrolling but, I have been reading the forums for about 2 years here and there. It seemed like a good community, I even have Steve's page linked to my blog as a scrolling resource. Lotta good info here. I am new to scrolling but the possibilities seem endless with this new tool.

Jason~

Hi Jason, i'm Roy from Scotland. Welcome to the forum. I was in the joinery and cabinet game for more years than I care to remember. Had to give up due to a dodgy heart, so I took up scrolling and this forum has helped me more than the guys (and gals) know. Good luck.
Rob Roy.

Thats quite a welcome, thanks people! Carpentry in general and 3D design of furniture is what I like but since I got this machine I have become addicted to scrolling. I guess the sitting at the comfy chair while listening to loud music is more enjoyable then humping 4x8 sheets all day. I am doing puzzles mostly. I have done some letters in different sizes and some cursive words(...not to be confused with curse words...!) At any rate, can't wait for the new supply of blades to get here. I have a bunch of slabs ready to go!

While I was cutting those slabs I had my daughter in my lap today completely mystified and speechless. Now mind you she isn't even 3. She stuck here finger in the blade while it was going.... like it was the thing to do! Dam near gave me a heart attack.
