Thanks for all the kind words.  I guess I am my own worst critic.

I guess it looks better in the picture than in real life, but the "a" and "d" seem to open for me and was wondering about opening at the bottom of the letter instead of at the top.

Nice work.  I played it as a kid and then with my own kids.  Sometimes used pennies, sometimes used popcorn kernels. Always a fun evening.

Here is my quick test gift tag.  Had a few problems with it, so was glad that it was only a quick test.  Used the stencil printer to come up with the words, using the Segoe script.  Realized as I was cutting that the "a" & "d" were going to be an issue.  Fixed on the fly.  Then when I tried to put a gift card in, it didn't fit. Turns out a business card fits, but not the credit card sized gift cards.  Photocopied the pattern at 103% and it seems that it will fit but haven't had a chance to cut.  Also looking for help with fixing the script.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Air tube for Delta scroll saw

I bought a piece of clear plastic tubing, put it over the cracked end and then put that back on the saw.  Seems to work fine.  Tubing was 60 cents per foot, used maybe an inch or so.

Here is what I was able to do tonight, cut with a #7, then finished with paste wax.

Rog, love the quote about the elephant.  Will try again with different pattern.  The wood is 2 1/2" wide by 3/4" thick.

Brian, I'll try the #7, even have some.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the answer.  It was a thicker wood and I was trying to cut the 3d reindeer.  Guess I will find something else to do with the wood!!

I bought a piece of purple heart, tried cutting with a #5 blade, didn't make much headway with it.  What size of blade should I be trying?

I tried it this year, what a mess.  Used a # 5 reverse tooth and was trying to stack cut a snow flake pattern.  Glued itself back together and then cracked as I tried to separate them.  If I could figure out how to post a picture would have posted my results!
