Thanks Barb. I think I will remove them because the glue didn't hold very well
You are welcome.  I know that you can order a replacement.  I looked into it but never got around to ordering it.  In Winnipeg the replacement price was $11ish.

I work full time, have a new grandbaby, unfortunately daughter not doing well so spending lots of time with her. If I want time on my saw, i don't have lots of time to look at the forums I am subscribed to.  I try to look at the forums I am subscribed to at least once a week but I don't always.

Thank you for the tips. I removed the table and found one of the rubber pads had come off. I glued it back and so far so good

I had issues when I first tried tilting the table.  The rubber pads had "scrunched up" on the one side.  Ended up taking it off.  Haven't replaced it yet - been a couple of years since that happened.  Haven't noticed an issue when cutting.  If I am cutting a puzzle I definitely check for square!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I ended up just cutting it into a 96 piece puzzle after purchasing Steve's puzzle pattern book.  I put a picture of it in my gallery.

Spirithorse,

Thanks again for all your work.  Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the boat.  This photo was from my other brother.  I guess I will just look for a different project to do for his birthday.

Hi, Barb,
This is definitely not a pattern I am proud to have made but, if you want a pattern
with very little detail, perhaps you can use this.
God Bless! Spirithorse

First of all, thank you for taking the time to produce a pattern.  If you are not proud of this, do you have suggestions as to a pattern.  I have never done "portrait" work.  I guess I look at the couple of patterns that have been produced and I am not sure that I like them. I have attached the other one that was done for me.  I feel the lines to cut are too thick and the sails are not "clean" enough.  I really don't know how to express my thoughts on this.  All suggestions are welcome.

I am hoping to have a pattern made from this photo.  It will be for my brother's 60th birthday.  I am hoping for a fairly simple plan that focuses mostly on the boat.  Not wanting much of the water.  I have tried the rapid resizer stencil/line option, but it is too busy!!and I don't know how to manipulate Inkscape. Someone made a plan for me from one of the facebook groups, again way to much "detail".

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Puzzle question
« on: January 14, 2018, 10:13:38 am »
I am hoping to start making more puzzles this year and after watching many videos I have a simple question.  Instead of applying the template to a scrap piece of wood, can it be printed on a piece of card stock (or heavier paper) and then proceed as usual?  Would there be a disadvantage to doing so?  I should have mentioned that I am talking about putting a photo on the 1/4 inch size, then just using card stock over top.

The key chain is interesting. What material are you using? 1/8" BB or similar?
I used 1/4" BB for the luggage tag. It was what I had on hand.

I used the program to make two luggage tags.  Wrote the address on the side with a sharpie.  The luggage was easy to spot in a sea of black suitcases.  Used the split ring to put through the zippers.

I am expecting my first grandchild and would like to make a baby gym (something like  this http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gkVEJWsYFKA/Ut3tcH_cQXI/AAAAAAAAEbs/1oVJDlzTHfQ/s1600/IMG_7946.JPG).  I am not sure I want to use pine, but are there any woods that I should avoid?
