So for the fourth (4th) year in a row we entered a float with my Grandson Gage in the
2014 Florida Strawberry Festival Baby Parade. This years theme was The Little Rascals, Gage as Spanky and I am very proud to say that we have taken 1st Place again this year
. It was a combined effort of family members from design to actual building the float. I am sad to say this was the final year as the contest only goes up to four year olds.
As an extra plus, the local Focus Magazine that covers events at the festival was so impressed that they used Gage and his float for the intro for the events for the day. Focus Magazine 2014 Florida Strawberry FestivalAlso my Granddaughter Audra who is four decided this year she wanted to enter the beauty pageant part and won third place out of seventeen contestants.
This was the first time she ever was interested and unfortunately because of her age the last time.
It has been a fantastic journey with my family.
Afterwards we spent the afternoon taking the kids to the rides and the adults enjoyed fair food and some yummy Strawberry Short Cake.
