Swap Shop / Must Read Before Posting!!!
« on: May 07, 2010, 02:36:32 am »
This forum is for user to user trading. If you have something you would like to sell or trade post it here.

All transactions in the forum are between the the two parties involved. Steve Good is not responsible for any losses, hurt feeling, fits of anger, feelings of remorse or any other bad things that can happen during the transaction.

Use good judgment. It is not possible for me to do background checks of all readers. We try our best to keep the rift raft out.

If you post an item here it would be helpful to come back and post a follow up when the trade/sell is complete so the other readers know it's final.

Any wars that get started here will be quickly dealt with including a total ban from the forum. Take any and all arguements off line.

I suggest that you use email/phone for negotiations. You can use the Personal Message system of the forum to make arrangements to contact each other.

Brag Forum / Polymer clay inlay.
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:47:38 am »
Here is the latest project I just posted on the blog. I have used polymer clay for inlay before and it works great. I wanted to make a hand mirror for myself. My wife don't like it when I use hers. :) I like the way the walnut and bright red clay contrasts with each other. The mirror and clay are baked at 265 degrees for 30 minutes and the clay is hard and ready to be sanded flush

« on: April 24, 2010, 05:11:48 pm »
To help keep the Scrollsaw Workshop Community Forum family friendly all new registrations will require approval. I know we will have a few bad guys slip through and I'm sorry for this. Use good judgment before you click on a member web page link. Report any abuse to either myself or one of the moderators. Thanks you for helping me keep the forum enjoyable for all.

Bulletins and News / New Moderators
« on: April 21, 2010, 12:52:53 am »
I am happy to report that we have two new Moderators. Russ[c] and Charlie Dearing will be taking on the challenge of helping me keep the forum family safe and a fun place to visit. Please give them your utmost cooperation. Like me they are new to this software so be patient with us while we learn our way around. I know these two will be a valuable asset to this forum. When you see them in the forum let them know they are appreciated. Thanks Charlie and Russ. Your help is immensely appreciated.

Bulletins and News / Photo uploading tutorial on the way.
« on: April 20, 2010, 12:34:28 am »
I will be doing a demonstration video on uploading pictures to the forums tomorrow or Wednesday.

There are two different ways to post a picture. You can use the insert image tag or upload the picture as an attachment.
The insert image tag has no size restrictions but the image must be hosted on your domain of a photo sharing site.
The attachment has a file size limit of 128K and will be hosted on my server.

I will explain all this completely in the tutorial when I get it finished. It will be a video tutorial and I will post the link in the Bulletins and News forum.

Bulletins and News / Inapropriate content.
« on: April 19, 2010, 07:04:41 pm »
This forum allows users to insert home page links in their profile and signature. I encourage anyone who would like to share their work to do so. If you have a scroll saw, woodworking, personal or craft related home page please share it.

I am moderating the profiles and will ban any user that links to an adult site. Unfortunately this has already happened. It will not be tolerated.

If anyone comes across any thing that is not appropriate for the general community please let me know.

Any links in the profile, signature or inserted in a post will be moderated.

I know that anyone taking the time to read this is going to follow the rules and I need your help keeping the forum family friendly. Please report any abuse.

I will be adding more moderators soon to help. In the mean time click on links with caution. Use good judgment.

Bulletins and News / Scrollsaw Workshop Community Forum goes live.
« on: April 18, 2010, 10:49:34 pm »
I have had requests for a place for the community to get together and discuss our hobby. I know there are other forums out there that have already built up a large user group. I'm sure it will take months for this forum to get off the ground and grow in numbers. In the mean time tell your buddies on the other boards we are open for business. If you are part of a scroll saw club let them know.  If you have friends or neighbors that are looking for a hobby send them by.  Enjoy and if you have any questions post them in the "Ask Steve a question" Forum. Enjoy.
