I have a Ryobi its about 4 years old, done very little work and not impressed. My advice is turn side handle and bring drill press down about half way, take drill chuck in hand and see how much play in the sharft by movin' it from side to side. Never been able to fix mine and is hard to drill holes spot on.

Thanks Everyone,
Yes was so simple an idea for a big tremor problem I have with this darn Parkinsons Disease. I have another similar idea for holding me glass measuring cups as well. Some days I only hit around the .05 on the earth quake Richter scale and then on others I'm off the darn scale  . Luckily I was able to build a year or so ago without too much trouble my mini spray painting booth before the tremors became too bad, had a go at using one of those spray cans in it recently on a little project that I had cut out on me scroll saw. Not goin' to show you all the mess I made of that, but here's some images of me mini spray booth and its set up. I'm having a day outa the workshop today where I'm tryin' to build a small table set up for my Makita power planner and router, two very handy tools I have but two of which I fear most  . But I'm getting there slowly considering that a few months ago I was considering gettin' rid of all and lookin' for something a little less dangerous to do. Again thanks for your comments I'll catch up again soon and let ya all know how my current project is travelin'.

G’day All,
Well its been an up and down battle in the workshop over the last few months, I’ve sat there at times looking at all my power tools and running ideas through me head on how I can make things a little safer to use so that I don’t get my trembling hands tangled up in places where ones hand/hands should not normally be.

The main problem is I have to use the power tool/tools to create my safety jigs with so that I can use that power tool safer, sounds crazy but I’ve got several jigs on the go at present and only work on them when my trembling hands are not too bad.

I have finished one jig that I hope is going to allow me to mix my paint, thinners and cleaners for my airbrush. As you can see from the image it is quite a simple set up made from 16mm and 12mm ply and the hole is 60mm in diam. While I aint used it yet I’m confident I can get my mixtures into my small plastic bottles without shakin’ the contents all over the place.

As the paint quantities used in me airbrush are quite small the bottles I use are only 100mm and 250mm, thus the days of being able to pour my paint into them easily are now gone I hope this is gunna work. Plus I buy my paints now in 250mm pots and it will be a case of taking the lid off and placing it upside down in the funnel and gettin' it all into the bottle rather than down the sides. So when I get a reasonable tremble free day I'm gunna get to and put me creation into practice.

I guess many of you maybe wondering what my airbrushing skills are like with the PD tremors, at this stage pretty darn messy but I'm workin' on that side of things.

G'day All,
I just forget how old my Canon Power Shot S3 IS Digital Camera is but have found it great, only have one problem with it - the folding view finder on the back has a problem when flicked to the side or any angle you can not get vision on it unless its put flat on the cameras back. Is no big deal might get it fixed one day. Since being diagnosed with PD I shake like the proverbial outhouse door so my camera is used now on a tripod now, it also takes pretty good videos as well. I like to make my images in biggest possible pixel size on camera which allows me to play around with images and still keep a good image that isn't distorted. I'm not into all the camera lingo but get some pretty good images. Have put three up for you to look at these where taken a few years back on our property here before Parkinsons Disease took over. King Parrot, Legless Lizard, Flower Spider.

The Coffee Shop / Old News But Fantastic Day Yesterday..................

G'day All,
The last few days I been house bound as approaching bad weather was effecting me.
Last Feb 2015 we were hit side on by Cyclone Marcia which left our property a little worse
for wear. In one day we got 113.5mm of rain that for us was a big deal. Since then we've had
very little rain and our dam a few meters from our house has long since dried up. But yesterday
we received the biggest daily rain fall since Feb of 2015 - a massive down pour of 46.5mm.

Not much but is great news for us here long way to go yet before this drought breaks but who
knows could be the start of better things to come  Sun is shinning from a cloudless sky and I'm
heading to the shed to have a play with me scroll saw

Totally amazing - is truly gunna be something to just to get a little knowledge from. 
Thanks so much for the link to the pdf file - from a simple question about Diodes is totally
amazing as to what its all about, I just didn't realise how far my original post would take me.
Again thanks for that link and when I get time and a clear head to have a good read I'll
see what I can learn.

Thanks so much for that link now I have some idea as to what could be used to light up these scroll saw creations. Like the idea of battery run lights and to be totally honest I never knew such coloured battery operated lights existed . Like I said, I had no idea as to what systems people used so just had to post and see if someone could tell me. How all I have to do is to see what is available down here in Australia. Again thanks for the link.
