Introduce Yourself. / Newbie from Pa.

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone.  I've been scrolling for a while but still don't believe I've gotten the right techniques.
Several of the more experienced scrollers say "practice, practice, and more practice", seems to be the most given advice.  Also wanted to say thanks to Steve for all you do to promote scrolling.

I have been wondering what speeds to use when cutting patterns?  Does it depend on wood thickness, or cutting skill of scroller?  Using a Dewalt 788. usually use between 5-6.  Is that too slow.
