Title: Corel Draw
Post by: lwilli on March 29, 2011, 09:03:34 pm
I'm hoping someone can help me in getting started with Corel Draw. Is it still possible to buy an older version of this software? I would rather start with an older version so I can use Steve's Tutorials to better understand the design process. I currently don't have the software and would greatly appreciate any help in learning the best way to get started.

Do a google search...corel draw, older version, buy.

That should answer your query.

don't use corel Draw. Try paint.net and if you really need more power, try gimp. Both are free and well documented on the web.

But I don't think one really needs Corel Draw for our patterns.

AND....you can stray over to that "other forum" and get some very good instruction for using both 'Gimp' and 'Inkscape'.
The learning curve for Gimp will be no more difficult than the Corel Draw I am sure.

But come Right Home when you are finished!!!
