Title: New FireFox version 4 is just days away!
Post by: GrayBeard on February 22, 2011, 12:33:48 am
From "LifeHacker"

The release candidate of Firefox 4 could be just days away despite widespread reports of delays, according to the community manager for Firefox.

The release ? which had originally been scheduled for October last year but was subsequently delayed until February 2011 ? could be just around the corner according to a post on Twitter from Asa Dotzler, head of community for Firefox marketing projects.

"From what I can tell, there are only 7 unwritten patches standing between Firefox 4 and hundreds of millions of users," he wrote.

Hey GB, I for one am really looking forward to the new built in cross browser sync and the big increase in the rendering engine. I have Firefox installed on six different machines. It would just make things easier if syncing everything did not require any add-ons. Hopefully with better HTML5 support we can move further away from from flash.

OK Steve, my 'quarter's worth'...

I have pretty much strayed from FF to the Chrome engine running in the 'S R Ware' adaptation called "Iron". (I love irony!)
Running on the 'Chrome' engine with all the 'extras' removed and renders like lightening, on my computer in MY opinion.

When FF4 hits the airwaves I will load it up and try it out and see if I like it.

One thing i have learned is that a browser is like a shoe. You have to like how it fits and feels "On You"!

to all who might want to know--I downloaded  the new firefox 4. something or other-  It works okay with the exception that my HP printer won't print off of it. It is like the printer isn't formated  right. It won't print any text correctly, such as an e-mail --anyone have a clue as to solving this problem--Richard aka thumbs
