"Things" Box
« on: October 24, 2013, 12:09:06 pm »
This box is a gift for a young priest visiting our parish. 6"x7" with 1" radius outside corners. The double-ring box is cut from 1" birch with a 20? taper on the inside (easier to get the M&Ms out). Surfaces are doubled-up 1/8" BB Ply -outer surface on each side is a portrait, with 1/8" BB Ply backer inside the side rings.

The front is the emblem for the order - Fathers of Mercy. Back is St. Bernadette (Bernadette of Lourdes) as a teenager.

The thickness of the box (1 3/8" front to back) allows it to stand on end on a desk, so it can hold a bunch of desk crap without consuming much desktop space, and can be turned to show either the front or back portrait.

Any comments are welcome.

Nicely done.  Might want to flock it if it is a general things box, just a thought.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Sharp looking project Ray.  I like the idea of the 20 degree box - makes sense.  Thanks for sharing with us.
