1st Christmas orn
« on: December 07, 2012, 10:11:05 am »
My niece got married this year so I made them a 1st Christmas ornament.  The pattern is Steve's that I modified to hold a photo.
I found that I could route a rabbit on the back side of the photo hole and that way I don't need to buy a photo insert.

Very nice work, they will love it.
When I made something to take a photo, I cut the hole for the photo at 4 degrees, that way the photo could be stuck on the waste piece and trimmed to size then I glued the edge and dropped it back in place. when dry sand the back flat. You then have a photo recessed slightly, but mounted on wood for strength. Just an idea for your next one.
