One I did last December and have redone for ME!
1/8" BB, 11 X 14, light oak stain, brown felt backer, framed with Aspen, pattern by Charlie Dearing, stack cut 2-1/8" + 1-1/4", blades - FD New Spiral 2/0 & 3/0.

Very nicely done GB. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Awesome job, I like it. Thanks for posting. :)

Well cut, the whiskers would be the hardest for me. With a spiral I can do squigly lines all day, but I have trouble with single straight lines like that. I think I'm scared of them LOL. :-[

Hey jr...those were cut with a 3/0 spiral! about the same caliper as a chest hair...
OH, and a lot of breath holding!!!

Nicely done Bud! The aspen frame is quite unique!
-
Thanks Dan...yep the aspen was fun to work with.
I am pretty new to the router table and I got some tearout that I wasn't expecting due to the softness.
Learned that next time...make two shallower passes and it should be better.
It is going on a fairly dark wall and I wanted it to stand out.

Fantastic detail on that piece. Great work!

Very nicely cut GB, love the frame too.

Very nice GB! You are right on the router table. Make at least two slow passes and keep your bit clean.

High Class work there!!!! Heck of an intimidation factor there!!!

Very nice! Did you make the frame as well. I wonder if anyone sells frame making material to the public. I asked a few shops that sell frames, but none of them offered strips of ready made frame making lumber.
-
I made the frame from 1 x 3 Aspen I purchased at Menard's. Cut the basic sizes, ran across the router for the finished edges then cut the miters and glued up. No oil or stain, just several coats of Zinser spray shellac, lightly sanded between coats.

I wonder if anyone sells ready made frame material in long strips. I'm sure that's how frame shops buy it, then cut and glue or nail it together. But then everyone would just go buy and make their own, so it's sale may be restricted.

Very nice.I like the detail......
