A pattern by Gayle over at the Cafe.
All done in ply and applied some burn marks for effect, but the juries still out on this.
The plate is approx:7.75 inches in diameter.

Very nicely done. I like everything about, from the reptile to the grain running in the background to the plate holder.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks guys/gals very nice comments.
I love cutting wild life it's just we over here in NZ don't have enough native animals of our own, they are all extinct , quite a few birds but getting patterns are a pain.

Hey Merlin, We have plenty here. What do you like to cut? I bet we could share some of our native wildlife with ya.

NO Gabby a Tuatara,is a living fossil.
"The tuatara is famous because it is the only survivor of an ancient group of reptiles that roamed the earth at the same time as dinosaurs. It hasn't changed much in over 225 million years! The relatives of tuatara died out about 60 million years ago which is why the tuatara is called a living fossil"
Goanna's are quite a large Reptile the Tuatara is a smallish (but not that small) living fossil.

Well make sure and show us when it's done.
I have a grandson that loves dinosaures and I've been looking for a pattern or 2 to cut for him. I'll need to keep it simple to go along with my capabilities, but nothing too juvenile or cutsy.
