Saw this pattern lying on the pile of to do stuff on Friday morning & thunk to myself. I really like this. S I cut it out and finished it. Placed it on the shelf in my booth for Sat mkt and another vendor was walking by and stopped for a chit chat and saw it and purchased it on the spot before the mkt even opened...
With my fat fingers it was a bit tricky to cut...

Now that's the type of post I like to read! Congratulations! It is great to see you sell you beautiful work so quickly. Great job!
Sheila ;D

Great, that is the way to start the weekend. I like the pattern. Who did the pattern?
-
Good job Dunk!
-
That's the way to make a sale!! I like the pattern.
-
Dunk - That is awesome! Does it stand up without falling over? I want to buy one from you! How much?
-
Dunk that's the way to do business. I love that pattern can you send me in the right direction so I can buy it.
David.

love the design, great job. and congrats on a quick sale. :)
-
no wonder it sold quick, it's a nice piece of work!
-
I sold mine for $25.00. Yes it stands unassisted.
Dalespuzzles.com has the pattern available. He has 3 different ones so drop him a note and tell him you are looking for the one with the flower.
Thanks for the nice remarks, makes one feel better about their work when folks of your cutting caliber say I did good.
-
Nice job, I like it. Thanks for posting your work. 8)

There is a pattern in the Big Book of Scroll Saw Woodworking on page 30 almost the same by Judy Peterson. It does not have the word hummer on it.
-
That is the same one just modified.
-
I love that one. It always sells very well.
-
Never seen this pattern dunk , fine cut -- ------keep up the fine work .........
-
I made another one yesterday and it sold this morning again, so I'll be making another this coming week as well. Great circle to be caught in...LOL

You may be leaving money on the table by not asking what people are willing to pay.
-
When I have a piece in demand - I up the price a bit. Because the bird is suspended - that piece is a curiosity to your buyers. It is worth more.
-
I just ordered the pattern... I thought it would show up in my email or on the screen. How do I get it?
-
You will either get a confirmation e-mail with a link to download it.
Possibly, once you pay you can view your cart and download immediately. I'd sign back in and check your cart. If that does not work drop Dale a line he has changed his site recently and I do not know all the ins and outs.
@julief,
How much do you get for yours?
@ChaplainRon,
I'm already selling them at $25. I hate to raise it to $30 or $35 and not have any sales and then have to lower it back. I really dislike lowering prices, it looks desperate.
-
I emailed him. For some reason the download had an expiration date of 1969! hahaha! So anyway, he emailed me it.
I forget dunk... what blade do you use to cut these puzzles?
@dunk - I think $25 is good.
-
Janet,
I use a #5 fdur. That's a flying dutchman ultra reverse. Looking forward to your pic! Just take your time, you will do awesome!
Glad you got it worked out.
-
I wound up using a #7 UR. I couldn't seem to get the 5 under control.
Anyway, the project turned out good... I'll post it when I'm done. It's raining out so I can't clear coat it yet.
-
Good for you. What wood did you decide on?
I told you that you could do it!!!!!
-
It's oak. I think that's why I'm having trouble. I'm used to cutting poplar.
-
Janet slow your saw speed down
Jimbo
-
Yes slow down the speed of your saw and your feed rate. Oak is not a good choice for these intricate patterns, too much grain. The grain has a tendency to grab the blade and lead the blade astray.
