tried the peel and stick Steve was using, and now i'm sold on it also
works great!.
easy to install on wood, no peeling while cutting, and no residue left on wood.
thanks to Steve for passing along the tip and video. ;)

Ask Steve a question. / metal blade tightening knobs
« on: December 07, 2015, 09:31:20 am »
Hello Steve
you mentioned the weight of the knobs being a factor on the bearings, arm, etc.
I was thinking the same thing watching video, if the weight proves to be a issue, possibly removing some of the metal (drilling holes or recesses ) in area's of knobs where accessible would work.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / tip for sand paper storage tower
« on: July 07, 2015, 09:57:57 am »
I see Steve made a sand paper storage tower
I built one some years ago (not as large as Steve's)
mine sits on my file cabinet  its roughly about 16"H x16"W x 16"D

my tip:
I attached a hacksaw blade on the side of it, with the teeth raised just slightly above the top edge.
it works great for sizing sand paper.

just thought id pass the tip along

A little something out of the ordinary

My grand daughter has been hinting to me she would like to make a fairy house.
so in my researching for idea's i came across these video's and thought id share them.
(I can see where my scrollsaw will come in handy when making decor etc.)
I can also see how one can really let their imagination run wild when building one of these.
enjoy
