Hollow form

This a hollow form with lid that I turned last year and I sold it to a student from the USA, it is elm burr and the lid is jarrah I hope you enjoy

I like the "natural" look to it.  I sometimes buy the wood that has a knot in it to see what I can make it look like.  Thanks for the pic...really nice job!

Jarrah is an Australian hard wood red in color and very dense, it is in the gum tree family, it does not grown in NZ to my knowledge and a lot of it came to NZ in the early years as dunnage on the ships, it turns and finishs beautifully, I have some ready to saw but not sure as yet what I will cut.
