Baby Ducks
« on: June 15, 2013, 02:35:25 am »
For my dad's birthday I made a big white Aflack looking duck. Now for father's day I made these three ducks to go with it. He has a flower garden to put them all in.

The two that stand by themselves have a dowel rod that is painted orange and ready to be glued to their feet. My dad will glue them when he is ready to set them in the ground.

These are too cute.  I tried to do a pig using layers like your ducks but it did not come out as good as yours.  You really did a great job.

Hi Troy, those little fellows will look good in your dad's garden. Nice job. Is the pattern for them your own, or is it available on line. My two grandsons would like them in the garden.

This is one from the Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts Magazine. It was the Spring Edition I think.

The hardest part was copying the plans from the magazine insert. For the bigger ducks it takes a bigger piece of paper. The smaller ones I put on a regular sized paper and made a master copy. The cost for the smaller ducks is about $1.50 each to make.

You bring Warmth to my Heart there Troy.  You for making your Daddy happy and
before last year I made many, many similar outdoor projects for my Mother.  Was
like walking thru a outdoor Museum with all the different things.  You did a Great
job on cutting, Painting and over-all Construction.  Danny  :+}
