Title: Crosses
Post by: crusty59 on June 24, 2010, 10:15:02 am
The smaller cross is about 10 inches tall and made from walnut. The larger one in 20 inches tall and made from maple. It almost didn't fit on my saw while I was cutting

Nicely done.  Being to big for the saw is a reason I suppose I need to learn how to control spirals.  I dread the idea.

Very NICE!!

I have tried spirals in the past...kinda wild and scary...I'll have to keep working on that...

Very nice. I tried spiral blades the first time a while back. Still need to practice, but it wasn't as scary as I thaught. But tend to grab the flat blades rather then the spirals, habit I suppose.

'FD' has the new spiral blades. I have tried them and they seem very easy to control, compared to ones I have tried in the past. Don't be afraid to try them.

I don't seem to have a problem with the spirals.  I can use flat or spiral with no problem.  I guess it's because I started out using both.  I do inside cuts with spirals and outside with flat.

I usded flat blades to cut these crosses. I only use spiral blades to do small intricate stuff, but spinning thoses crosses round and round was a bit of work

Nice!! I can't use flat blades.  I started with spirals and have that "Old Dawg" syndrom.

Nice work, the big cross must have been a head ache, havn't tried spirals but I must as you can not put them in back to front like the flats [so I believe]
