Free snow shoveling clinic
« on: February 09, 2013, 09:38:45 pm »
Free of charge

This clinic is open to all!  We will cover the basics of pushing, scooping and throwing snow.  Methods for clearing decks, walkways and driveways will be discussed.  We will provide shovels, however, to ensure everyone gets as much practice as possible, attendees are encouraged to bring their own.  There will be a brief (extremely brief) classroom session, then it's outside to practice the techniques.  Lots and lots of practice!

There is no clinic schedule, as attendance will be on a "come when you can" basis.

Certificates of attendance will be given to all attendees.

Anyone wishing to attend may contact me on this forum.

I miss snow sometimes.   I don't miss the snow plow driver that made it his job to push snow back into my driveway the moment that I finished shoveling.

when I was working I worked for a company that made compact roadsweepers and winter maintenance equipment, one thing they made would have helped you immensely, it was a snow cutter/blower about the size of a medium sized lawnmower. it would cut into the snow and blow it through an adjustable nozzle about 30 feet.

I think I have one of those, but it only blows about 10 feet depending on the wind direction. Some times it blows back on ya >:( >:(

When I was a senior in High School, my neighbor and I used to have Snowblower fights.    The goal was to maneuver behind the other guy and let them have it with the blower.   We both had cabs on our walk behind blowers, but the backs were open.   I sure was happy when dad upgraded our old Arens blower for a much more powerful and much faster unit.    Lots of fun...
