1st Project on my DW788

It's been so dang cold out that I haven't been able to do a whole lot of scrolling, but I did this a couple weeks ago, and finally got around to finishing the frame yesterday. Other than the ornament in my intro thread it's really the first scrolling I've done in a long time, and it's the first pattern I've followed on my new saw. Critiques?

One question for you experienced guys.. What do you use for a backer board? I happened to have a sheet of Masonite laying around so I sprayed it black and used it this time, but what do you find works the best? Also Do you just paint the backer board or do you glue felt between them? And lastly What do you use to glue them together? Tight Bond, spray glue, tacky glue? I used Tight Bond this time and it was a pain to paint on the back and I had a bit of squeeze out that I had to clean up, which was a pain in the small spaces.

Generally most of the portraits I have done are not the self framing type.  I put them in a frame so that the backing at least for mine are sometimes held in place by the frame. As for backing material I have used 1/8 ply or something like it.  Gluing it is always a hassle however nothing says that you have to use a ton of glue to hold it in place.  Just a few critical points is all you really need.

I have been using flat black poster board.  I just spray the back of the picture with spray adhesive, lay it on the poster board, wait a few minutes and cut the poster board around the picture with a razor blade.  Very simple.

I have been using acid free construction paper that can be found at stores like
Hobby Lobby that sell scrap booking supplies. Cheap and easy to cut to size.
Also, it is quite thin and doesn't create any problems fitting a cutting into a
store bought frame.
